I like fresh ideas and the drive to improve. The narrator raised some excellent points and he just called it regarding Fire Stick farming. We are starting to see that same thing happen in South America with land clearing, and the climate change in that region as a result.

The last bit of rainforest in the Top End was sold to the mining company in Gove for the lawns for the managers houses in the new little township. They cut down the trees and dug up the luscious soil for their lawns!!! Paid the locals a few bob and that was that. Australia doesn't have the top soil to support this bloke's plan to make a great inland sea > rain > farming and food production utopia LOL it would be fun to have a big lake though, then we could kite surf around Ayers Rock instead of sweat around it.

^^^ Yeah but, the Amazon has very poor soils like Australia, yet forests thrive there. If anything, it would be a solution to removing carbon from the atmosphere by the creation of new forests. But this is all hypothetical of course, because Australia is owned by people and homelands. For the holders of the areas that would be flooded, I doubt it would ever get their buy in.

Fish production from artficial lakes could be worth more then crops or cattle.

Want a more logical point, the NT had the Ord river dam, but it had disease compications because of viruses, just very dangerous to handle the waterI was thinking of all except super heated temperature from solar collection and maybe irradiation to produce sparkling northern genuinely nuclear clean water.
I can see the advert now in a hot summer.day on a SUP with zinc cream and a water bottle with "refreshing" and a radioactive sign.
