Looking to go vegan pls help.

I like vegan food but dont force people to be a vegan, its your choice and its thier choice and its called freedom

As a side note - "Strange Grains" bakery make gluten free and vegan stuff, can recommend that the [vegan] hummingbird cake is suitable for meatatarians [as long as you don't read the ingredient list]

The watchdog group publishes its "Dirty Dozen" list annually, in which it ranks the 12 produce items that contain the highest amount of pesticide residues. The group analyzes data from the Department of Agriculture's regular produce testing to determine the list.

Ranked alongside kale on the list are strawberries, spinach, nectarines, apples, grapes, peaches, cherries, pears, tomatoes, celery and potatoes.

The last time kale was included in the USDA's produce tests was 2009 and it ranked eighth on the Dirty Dozen list.

"We were surprised kale had so many pesticides on it, but the test results were unequivocal," said EWG Toxicologist Alexis Temkin in a release.

More than 92 percent of kale had residue from at least two pesticides after washing and peeling the appropriate vegetables, according to the report. Some had up to 18. Almost 60 percent of the kale samples showed residual Dacthal, a pesticide that is known as a possible human carcinogen.

Pesticides help protect crops against insects, weeds and infections, but research has shown a correlation between chemicals and health complications.

The group releases its "Clean Fifteen" list as well, highlighting the 15 produce items with the least amount of pesticide residue detected. It includes avocados, sweet corn, pineapples, frozen sweet peas, onions, papayas, eggplants, asparagus, kiwis, cabbages, cauliflower, cantaloupes, broccoli, mushrooms and honeydew melons.

Consumers should buy organic produce whenever possible to avoid pesticides, according to the report. But that shouldn't deter people who can't afford it from eating these items.

"The health benefits of a diet rich in fruits and vegetables outweigh the risks of pesticide exposure," EWG Research Analyst Carla Burns said in a release.

I just had this sent to me by my friend after telling him yesterday I was feeling sick


Your body is trying to repair the damage that has been done to it. A body cannot repair itself if it has to move the person around too much as that takes energy away from the repair process. You need lots of rest and need to eat ****ing meat because your body needs all the help it can get and it is not getting much help from a few pieces of fruit or any of that other vegan stuff.

I have done the research on veganism and it is no good for uninjured people let alone seriously damaged bodies like yours is. Your body is starving and needs meat protein to help it heal.

Get some steak and eggs tomorrow and you will feel much better in no time.

I do this street corn fritters with avo crispy bacon and lime creme at my cafe, sells out every time, it's a great option for veg / vegans meatarians, leaving or taking the bacon

He is right. The guy before promoting eating meat to recover is wrong. Simple as that. Modern science is conclusive on this now. It isn't just an idea it's proven fact. Do your homework or at least start to read for gods sake. God we are predominantly stupid species.

Speaking of god, Fasting / going without is common among all the religions beliefs / dogmas on the planet not for religious reasons ... although of course they are painted as such for obvious agendas not noticed by those hooked on the drug of the particular dogma. It kept the population healthy to go without.

Now we know biochemically why.

Yesterday when I felt sick I only ate a pear,two passionfruits and a orange.

Later I tried to eat a banana but I could only managed to eat half of it.

My body was telling me in a very strong way it does not want anymore.

It mentions in the Bible lots of fasting.

Not read how fasting benefits the body but my pineal gland BS detector tells me fasting is a great way to improve ones health.

There is a scientific word which describes the biological phenomenon. It is Autophagy. Anyone who suffers from a chronic illness would be doing themselves a big favour if they were to acquaint themselves with the term and how it works. It is not quack science but an established fact:

Sheep and deer eat meat in wild to boost diet. Zoologists have shattered the belief that sheep and deer are exclusively vegetarian. Grass may satisfy them most of the time but in places where their normal diet is low in essential minerals they have been seen eating grouse and seabird chicks. Yum :)

That concurs with the reading I did on B12. Seems some people have the bacteria in their gut and others don't. Looked pretty complicated and research not yet widely done.

Ive know for ages that the body relies on bacteria to function and it struck me years ago after being in the food industry for a long time how much damage that processed food must be doing.

Aside from all the crap ingredients the lashings of preservatives, whose function it is to prevent bacteria from spoiling the food, must be having a devastating effect on the beneficial bacteria in the body.

True and add to that most the food they are fed these days contain dead animals of one sort or another.

yes there are a lot of strong, fit, vegans out there BUT they would be stronger and fitter if they weren't vegan.

Black chilli olives from the Swansea Street markets 10 years was my favourite food but they no longer sell them.

Veggie pizza with extra jalapenos,taboulleh,veggie subway with avocado,spinach pasties are my favourite processed foods.

At home strictly health conscious especially no bread.

Home made veggie soup sometimes with lentils,honey with tea,organic eggs,fruit,cashews,pistachios,brazil nuts,almonds. For a drink I buy 100 percent apple and black currant juice and dilute with fifty percent water.

Lakewoods organic pomegranate juice mixed with grapefruit juice diluted with 60 percent water is awesome.

When I'm at the organic shop I treat myself with a ten dollar veggie smoothie.

Cakes,sweets,sugary drinks,artificial sweeteners,alcohol,bread,white flour,white rice,anything tinned I've cut out.

When I'm at Coles or WW almost every aisle is full of junk food so it's not easy to buy anything else!

A good reason to shop elsewhere.

I love a good steak

I once had to do a job in India for 3 months ,, around 80-90% of the population where I was were full vegans and ate no meat, they were all actually very very healthy people buuuuut and it's a big one ,,, most of the food they ate was grown in traditional ways without sprays and pesticides and preservatives or colouring,,, additionally as they had lived like this for thousands of years they were well aware of different grains and nuts and twigs and berries which where required to maintain a healthy lifestyle...
western veganism is a fad at best and totally totally unsustainable in its current format....

You will find many many tribes of indigenous people that ate fish or meat only around once or twice a month and sustained themselves on twigs and berries in between,,,, fasting is actually good for you but protein is a dietary requirement vegan or not...
