Seacliff SLSC has had a live webcam at the club for many years. I think that I first put one in, in 2014, and the idea was to showcase the new club and bistro, which by by the number of daily hits, has done really well. Recently, I installed a professional quality camera which is capable of 4K, but currently running on a very low bitrate due to the club still on ADSL. A NBN upgrade is imminent, so I'm hoping that the image quality can be increased. If you enjoy the view, please consider coming down to the club and have something to eat and drink, while checking out the activities on the beach!

I haven't seen anyone kiting at Seacliff recently. Any reason for that? Cheers
I was out Wednesday arvo with at least six kites out, plus Thursday, there were several out. Unless you sail South of the yacht club, you won't show up on the camera. In the future, it may be possible to have replays similar to what Swellnet has at Triggs, but it all costs money and I try and keep it as as low cost as possible. As is typical of Seacliff, when the sea breeze drops out there, it is often still on at Gladstone Rd, so if I go down for a late session, I'll be there. I hardly ever see any sailboarders out at Gladdy, normally only kiters and not sure why? Gladdy often has better waves in a good sea breeze, jus a little bit harder to get a park.
Good Work!
Image seems to be a bit horizontally distorted to fit a square format - is there any way to get that back to a more natural aspect ratio? ...or does that cut of the extra field of view.

It depends on your computer resolution and browser. This snapshot is with Chrome and full screen and when the club goes to NBN, the camera resolution can be turned up and hopefully will look normal on most screens. Try clicking the full screen button bottom right.

Ah sweet. Will stroll on down with the next breeze then. Cheers
Just looking off the balcony and I can see white caps. But had a look on the live webcam and it's glass. Is it really 'live'? It is SW so perhaps protected in that area at the moment.
good work! I remember when we were planning a trip in mountains, and needed to find out if there is still snow, such an external webcam made my day!
