If one has a fantasy of trying DW, what foil would be good to start with? High aspect or a big surf type foil? Thanks

Whatever you get make sure its the biggest in the range. Try to make you life as easy as possible.

I ride a Takuma LOL 1900 95% of the time for downwinding.

The big 2450 Naish is an awesome slow speed high lift foil and perfect for DW.

Hi murf.. have you used the 1600 lol for DW? If so how does it compare to the 1900?

Yep I have used the 1600 for downwinding. For the conditions we have in Adelaide I found there is not a huge amout of difference in speed between the 1600 and 1900. You have a lot more control with the 1600 but the 1900 is just easier to get going.
