Hey,

I am 77kgs and 5'9 and need help choosing the right board. My choice is not straight t forward due to learning to foil via Wingfoiling.

I surf on a 9' performance longsup 115L, fairly competent level. Smallest sup was 7'4 105L HN.

I have 5'1 Hipe 85L Wingfoil (Intermediate level) with XLT and LT Foils.

I am loving Wing foiling and I want to try Sup foiling. Im very at home on foil and can gybe and switch my stance on foil. Ive had 80+ hours of cruising, riding bumps and have recently ventured into waves.

My indecision is if I learnt to sup foil without prior foiling I would have no doubt started on a 7'4, dropped to a 6'6 and then perhaps be moving towards sub 6'. Im very stable on the little wing board but not enough to paddle it into the wave. I could prone it but that's not my thing. So my paddle technique is good but I have no experience paddling super short sups.
Some choices or similar.. 6' 95L, 6'3 105L, 6'6 120L point nose
Square nose 5'8 110L, 5'10 135L

I will be surfing small mush with not a great wave face and reforms and summer small clean waves. Balance I'm happy with small boards but am I better with some extra length to get into the wave. What dimensions would you go for? I have been spoilt a bit with the small wing board and love the minimal swing weight. I started winging on a 6'6 120L. I don't mind putting some work in but at the same time I also want to catch waves whilst learning!!!

Any help would be great as I'm doing my own head in!!!

Your weight and experience I think some thing like this www.oneoceansportsaustralia.com/shop/foil-downwind in the 5'10 size would be fine. These are a really good all rounder. If you want it a bit more towards the wing wind wing the one of these might be a little better. www.oneoceansportsaustralia.com/shop/wind-wing-boards

Thanks Paul, I'm going to keep the small Wing board and purchase a sup board just for Sup foil. I'll check out the 5'10..
Thanks..
