I've been prone and kite foiling for 2 years now and want to get into wingfoiling.
@82kgs what size/ volume board would you recommend...I was thinking fanatic 6'7 at 125 lts ?
shop suggested double my weight as volume which is 160lts for a newbie?? That sounds like overkill.
imput from wingding crew appreciated.

Try and borrow a big board to get the idea, especially knee starting. Then get something about 6 foot or smaller. The 6 7 will be fine to start with but a bit big unless you want to sup foil as well.

If you have been prone foiling already, you will probably end up with a 95l board ..... 125l will be over-kill at your weight unless you want to SUP and SUP foil on the same board.

2400 wing is probably a bit big as well unless you want to cruise around in light winds.

I am 110kg (was 105kg but CV-19 isolation is taking it's toll) and my light wind rig is 2450 foil, 125L board and 6m wing.

Yeah go the 6-7 spot on , I drift between that and the 6-3 at 85kg. Because I'm in the ocean alot on the ding I prefer a bit longer board. I can stand and up haul on both boards in the worst of conditions , my knees hate kneeling.

BW+40 L is a good starting point. Use the biggest foil you can get.

160L you will out grow within a week so i think that is 100% a over kill for your weight.

Just find someone who offers the same deal as we do and thats lend you a big board to learn on and then once you have the hang of it you bring that big board back and pick up the one that is the right size and something you won't just grow straight out off. Nothing worse than buying a huge board and then having to upgrade a week or two later and lose a bunch of money!!

Depending on your skill level i think for your weight you will end up on something between 5'10 and 6'5 and 110L to 130L

This is a great deal and a really good idea. If any of my local shops has offered this, I would have been all over it.
