chopped down (nose and tail) 8'3 to a 6'10 and converted for a 90mm plate setup..
Naish malolo foil with a wedge under the plate to get board/foil angled rite..
Shes a little getto with the primer but works a treat especially at the local hollow beachies, does struggle a little in the fat stuff tho..
Had a few sessions on the north/fanatic protos and will leave a review once get hands on the production stuff..
Looks sick!
Pitty the foils only BLACK , would have looked sick with some yellow on it.
Show me some video.

I've re-birthed a Hokua 8'10" LE that I never would have used again.
It's been a great board to learn on and I'll now use it to teach friends on, as later today I'll pick up my new Naish Raptor 95 fresh from the installer's with box in situ for tomorrow's session. I cannot wait!!

The sharks love the fluro lure too
Once you try black you wont go back..
Naish Malolo (Medium Thrust) 8'4" Pro-wave soon to be something smaller...
Foiling is Waaaay too much fun...
Still the same setup as in www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Stand-Up-Paddle/SUP/SUP-foiling--my-first-steps-
Planning to get a shorter board, Simmons-like 6'10"x30x 125l.
It seems to me there are 2 kinds (at least) of pumping on a foil: the vertical "Huntington hop" to start foiling (the ultimate version is the one used by Austin Kalama, Eric Terrien, etc... to start foiling on flat water), and a smoother, more subtle one to keep foiling on "bumps", where you control the descent of the foil by throwing your legs forward to help the board accelerate in the gliding descent. And if most setups seems to work for the second one, the "Huntington hop" really needs a very short board.
DC 7-6 x 28 - 118 litre Kai Go Foil great board , it has both mast mount types. I will be trying out the Naish soon , will be great to compare both foils on the same board.
Been playing with a few different shapes for boards, also playing with a modified front wing for the takuma to see if I can make a few improvements.
Just picked up the new 2018 Slingshot SurfSup foil. An impressive bit of kit. Adjustable mast positions, deep tuttle or pedestal, comes complete with titanium bolts. Bring on Summer!
comes complete with titanium bolts.
A nice touch, as aluminum foils do not fare well with stainless steel bolts because of the galvanic corrosion.

Last photo of wing, I have a shovel similar to that so will give it a go.
Seriously though how does it perform?
New Jimmy Lewis Surf Foil & Sup Foil....Foil specific & designed to work & make foiling easy....Marlon Lewis foiler extraordinaire & the most sort after foil board shaper on Maui....

That is such an interesting board design! I like it not sure why but I do. Looks a little like a kit foil race board.

Finished my new front wing and a lot happier with how it feels, defiantly a lot less **** ya pants feel to foiling!

and she is nearly ready!
Wow that's small , is the mast where you think your back will be when paddling. Nice looking board , I'm getting a prone version similar shape to foil.

This shape was the fastest paddler I tried in sub-7' length: semi-pointed nose to pierce the chop but still wide enough for stability, and the wide tail and parallel rails helps fighting the row. Plus the wide tail allows a good leverage on the wave bumps.
The rear corners may touch the water in turns, we will see.
I was toying with the idea of adding 2 nubsters fins on the tail if there is too much row, or if touching the water by the tail makes the tail skip sideways...
The positions of the mast and straps follows the Gong template I posted before, so placed relative to the handle , which is more aft than other shapes due to the volume being more on the tail. This, and the shorter length, makes of course the mast closer to the tail than on my pulled-in-tail 8'9". My back foot should be just behind the rear screw of the mast.
A prone Simmons, which can be quite narrow, should be great!
Interesting shape but I like it , really keen to see how it works. Funny part is my prone foil board getting made 6-3 is a really similar outline. By the way we say Yaw instead of Row. (Rowers face the wrong way)
8'0 x 27" 88L
Retro fitted to take the Takuma Foil
nothing fancy just bolt it in and start ****ting ya pants
i still recon riding finless is 5000x more fun
but i havent really got the nack of the glide yet
I'm about to get a customboard 7'11" x 31" for SUP, Windfoil and SUPfoil.
My idea is to install only one tuttlebox for Windfoil and SUPfoil.
For Windfoil most of the foils are designed for a rear boxposition, mast about 15 to 20 cm / 6" to 8" from the tail.
For SUPfoil it's more like 37-50cm / 15" -20" from the tail what i see.
What do you think is the most rearward position for a SUPfoil?
I think i could go to about 10" from the tail as a maximum compromise for a windfoil.
On the ohter hand i see FoilSUPs getting windfoiled, maybe it's only a question of the trimm of straps and mastbox more forawrd?
Backup solution would always be two boxes but that's more weight (and costs).
Regards, Alex
Naish container full of foils must of just dropped..
Few conversions done last week..
Booked out for next few weeks with conversions also..
