Mini me just put his scooter in back of car and scraped the NP Ali mast all the way down (exposed all the alu on sharp trailing edge). Apart from doing my best to not put him on eBay, should I look to re-coat with something? Or will be okay to not become rust points?

Serenity now! Thanks....

I wouldn't do anything but if you want to you can give it a light rub with wet and dry and spay with acrylic clear coat.

Yeah not really necessary , it's marine grade Ali it'll be fine just take off sharp edges and give it a wash and wipe after each use , just don't leave salt on it for long periods . In this pic I modified my NP fuse to take Uni rear wings. This is over 2 months old with nothing on it. If any build up does show I just rub it off. spray with clear acrylic won't hurt.

Thanks for the reassurance. Sounds like I can leave as is. Oh the humanity!

No need to worry. Alu "rusts" (oxidizes) in 10 minutes(*), but this layer is waterproof so its acts as a protective layer against further oxidation. It is self-re-coating itself :-)

You (& Piros) are always a wealth of information. All of us shackled to the delight and trauma of young children salute you!

Nice job , what Uni rears do do you like the most?
