just wondering what peoples thoughts are on this? I'm talking about the centre arch bar not the rear kicker bit which is undoubtedly useful. I notice most the pros don't have the arch bar on their prone boards or have even cut them off (I guess its uncomfortable for prolonged pumping).... but then on the other hand some production foil sup boards are now coming out with an arch running up the length of the board to the front foot.

Personally I've only ever had flat pads on both sup and prone foil boards but I'm just wondering am I missing a trick?

The better you get the more you move your feet , steep drops , high speed and sometimes on pumps back out and carving turns. So the arch bar can be a pain , I don't use one and the guys I Foil with don't either or have removed it but it is a good reference for learning.

Thanks Piros! That's in line with what I'm starting to feel. And also, basically you're telling me I'm getting better at this sport... I'll take that!
