hi all, anyone ridden one ? I'm looking to replace my Deep 10-6...a nice board but I'm leaving pressure dings from my knobbly old knees...
i also like the Kazuma boards but the graphics are god awful, hideous geometrics and clashing colours.
I haven't ridden one but the NSP SuperX boards look wicked and this review is pretty compelling to get one in the quiver! www.mensjournal.com/adventure/nsp-dc-surf-x-pro-sup-review
Thanks StevO...I currently ride a Jimmy Lewis Kwad, 170 litres...which seems a bit of a magic figure for my 99kg and 64 years...these are great boards I reckon and bullet proof - very hard to ding.
anyway, I digress...I reckon I need 150 litres or more...which is why the Naish Hokua 9-6 also has appeal...
Hey diceman if you want to stay with Deep brand checkout the
Dogman 10'2 a serious shred m/c checkout Deep website to see reviews on it
could be another option 146 ltrs.
Couple of local crew on them stoked with there purchase.
Good luck Calbs
Hi mate, funny you mention...really liked the look of 'em and test drove one. Terrific on the wave but too hard to paddle at only 140-odd litres.
Test drove one and it is hard at 29" wide - get a custom at 30 or 31 wide - you should then have a great board

But then it will not surf very well.

It depends on the waves. A wide board is cumbersome in hollow waves, but adds fun to weak ones.

Disagree with that a 31 inch wide board is way harder to turn than a 29 inch wide board no matter the surf. SUPs are so big any way they perform in small waves. Stability means poor turning simple physics really.
Thanks for the interesting comments...I think a rounded pin let's you get away with a wide board as you can stand back and pivot off the tail. The wide mid and nose gives nice planing for flat spots and slower waves...
