Hey Mr O
I've paddled both extensively.
The Carolina is the new battleship in the NSP range. She does it all and arguably the fastest board for down wind, flat water and messy chop paddling money can buy.
The Puma is also a all-purpose board. The advantages with the Puma, it's a flat deck so you can go in and out of the surf and some people just don't like getting in and out of dugouts. Disadvantages with the puma, it's not as fast as the Carolina and a little bit more tippy.
Cheers Jonesy
Hi, jones, How did you find the recessed deck? as in could go narrower than normal, helping in stability
thanks
Mr O

You are talking about the small recessed deck on the Puma?
It's helps a little bit, but I wouldn't go narrower in the puma. I ride the 26"
Yes I was on about the puma. Think I'll have to see if a Carolina comes up second hand which they seem as rare as hen's teeth not like the puma or allstar but the new strike seems popular too
