Hi Benjl, I followed up with Starboard as the 2020 10'5" Wide Point was of interest and it is carried over as a 2021 "Wedge", and only in Lite Tech.
The "new" Wedge models have the same bottom shape and width as the 2020 Wide Points. The 10'2" is shorter than the 10'5" it is, I assume, to eventually replace, has thinner rails, same specifications, but a little more volume, so I guess it must be in the rounded pin tail or a more convex shape to the deck?
Retail in the UK for the carbon version pro is now ?2649, that's 4697 AUD at current exchange!

How much have they been previously and are you talking surf or race boards
That's the retail for the new 2021 pro wave in carbon, ridiculous money. 2020 were 2290 which is still expensive and pushes performance sup further away from the reach of a lot of people. Race boards are 3299 GBP for the 14' Sprint...
The starlight version is much more reasonable it has to be said, really can't see many carbon boards being sold here at full retail price. Team riders and industry bods only!

You know that you have a lot of excellent performance SUPs on the market other than these ones? "people" have a lot of choices.
Yes we'll aware! I haven't owned a starboard sup since my first board which was a whopper, the new pro shape ticks all my boxes design wise. I suppose it makes narrowing down choice a bit easier but I think I'll be sticking to custom in future.

At 7'7" x 28" it will be a very different paddle experience than an 8'5 but with the float there definitely doable with a bit of practice! Don't expect the same paddle speed or glide though anything under 8' takes extra work. Worth it for the reward in surfability!

Not quite- really depends on rail volumes I've found. I have a Jimmy lewis 8'3 x 28.5 x 105l suoertech and also a 7'2 x 28 x 105l hypernut. Went out of the 8'3 in the weekend after a while on the hypernut and sucked with stability!
