Looking for a rack or trailer to use on my pushy. Any suggestions?

I use the Longboard rack from MBB - Moved By Bikes. Great service, took a week to deliver to NZ during lockdown last year. High quality parts and very adaptable to a range of bikes.

Thanks for that. What size boards do you carry on it? Particularly the thickness?

It's 7'10 SB Pro, about 4 to 4 1/4 " thick. Had spread the bars ever so slightly.

I built my own 2 different trailers. One with an old steel tube fence, 3 bicycle wheels from a junkyard and a front fork. This one can carry 3 windsurf boards with sails, booms and masts. Then I built the "light" one with an old garden umbrella's post. This one is divided In several parts so I can transport it on my van.

Just pull them apart with your hands! Honestly it's easy as, and as I say there was only a bit of a tweak needed. If you go to their site they have some videos of these racks used for some fairly big Kahana SUPs.

Use it to carry my 8'6" Smik Hipster or my 9'2" Sunova Speeed. Have had a BIC Performer in there and that says it is 4.3 inches

Mate has the MBB and it is EXACTLY the same - minus the logo.

Yep, they will mount to any type I recon. Comes with different size mounting U-bolts. Easy as.

Bob,
I used the attachment from a tag along bike set up I used to have. But the knuckle attachment can get a bit rigid when turning tight corners. its not really designed for two rear wheels. I dont really use it as we dont have issues with parking locally. ,,,,... yeah wish I hadnt sold it sometimes.

How stable is it and is it reasonably ok with wind gusts ? I have been looking at these for a while, but I am not very heavy myself (51 kg) and a bit afraid that with my 8.1 board which weighs about 8 or 9 kg, I might not be able to control the bike easily... I have made a trailer but there is a busy road to cross and it's not easy with one. Thanks

Haven't really used it while it has been blowing. You definitely know it there but hasn't been a problem for me (at 80kg). Can be awkward getting on with the board and placing it in the cradle... figured out a system that works and no issues now.
