hi,
I am thinking about getting a non surf style sup for general paddling off a local beach (kingston beach hobart) mostly in smallish chop and windswell. I used to have a starboard ace 14 Which I never really liked the way it footsteered but did like the way it cut into chop.
Can anyone recommend a board model or style of board which is a decent paddler but footsteers ok going downwind? Maybe even catch a couple of small ones when my kids are on out wave boards.
apologies in sdvance if this has been answered before on the site.
cheers chris

The venom if you can find one !tell me when you find 1 and i'll get it 4 u ??
Thanks for the answers, I'll get looking. I saw down further there was a discussion on flat water vs ocean sups. I'm definitely leaning to less speed and more feel. Who makes the venoms? Or is that the brand?cheers chris

Something like the Evo 2.0 sounds like it will suit, paddles super nice and fun in the waves. Steers from the middle if needed which feels super nice Downwind. www.oneoceansportsaustralia.com/shop/evo-20
That looks exactly like I was thinking of, I'll check out further.
thanks for the link

The One Evo Pro 2.0 is also a great board in small chop.
thanks for the offer river rider! I really like the look of the eco. I had the original model ace which had the tunnel up the middle of the cockpit and I never found it great for moving my feet around on. The eco looks nice and flat on the deck. I'll have to catch up and have a look at yours at the beach one day.
