AirAsia SUP size

Off to Lombok in 2 months. AirAsia allow a 9' SUP. Could I get away with a 9'1? Not sure how pedantic they are? Thanks in advance.

I've taken a 9'5 on AirAsia before without issue. End of the day will come down to the person doing the check in.

I got back 1 week ago, I took an 8' SUP and no measuring happening just make sure <15kg

I was AirAsia'ing, 9'5 Starby WP, Darwin-Bali rtn.

Same in August last year. No issue at the Perth end with an 8'6 in a bulky travelling bag. Martaram was ok but will depend on who you get checking in. Enjoy.

Just change to 1 to a 0 ... like we did in high school!

Yesterday was our first time on Garuda, its a big YES.
Standard 40kg baggage each , tell them you have boards. Easy as, old school service .
Mrs. Had 9'5x32 , I had 8'6 Hipster with Mrs prone 8'0 in 9'0 bag.




As you can see we had some bulk there, no problems

AirAsia from Thailand today to Bali , 2 Sup's 1 bag , no problem, apparently windsurfer rigs are a common thing for them.
Very helpful at both ends.
