Anyone got any thoughts on a cheapie Anaconda inflatable sup? Solely for the purpose of a muck around with the kids?

Or flushing money down the drain?

How heavy are you and how big are the kids?

Also what size board are you looking at?

Most that I've seen are only 4" thick and IMO you need a 6" thick board to be able to paddle with kids on board with you.

Just buy one from this joint www.4wdsupacentre.com.au/products/stand-up-paddleboard.html

I have seen a few around and they look as good and better than most and cheap. I would say better than Anaconda from what I have seen.

I have no idea how they do it so cheap but then all why I have no interest in selling inflatable SUP's.

Anaconda Sup are really good, make sure you get the Aqua Marina, I have the monster, the fishing one, the race. Don't over spend as they hike up the prices over summer. They are also just getting in the US 2019 range so prices are high.
I got the monster in 2017, the red one for $400. I was 137kg and it paddled me good. I have used it over 100 times maybe 300-500km, it hold air well, i have run over it twice in the car, slept on it overnight, hid under it during electrical storm.
My nephew is 12 and he is about 50kg and he flies on it. It is quite fast for its length and weight rating. Great for a paddle with a kid or two.
Good beginner, tourer, family muck around board.
Check out reviews on sup boarder.
I would highly recommend the monster and the fishing one, the race is a bit narrow so you need to have clean conditions or be really light and a good paddler. It is fast though.
Ill try and get pictures up.

most of those cheapies seem to be good, not seen too many negatives , only thing i would say is watch leaving in sun as most are glued for that price and keep rolled up and stored out of sun when not in use, and DONOT leave on car roof racks!

Actually it is best to store unrolled but slightly deflated, that's the less stress on the glued parts.

Prices have gone way back up, steer clear until the post christmas sales. At the 600 + mark these boards are not so good value.
Also the pick is now the new Aqua marina beast model the one with the new rounded tail. Make sure you get the rounded tail. It has the new twin chamber pump. The prices are sky high. Id rather invest in a naish one second hand or even a new one than lay down 600 on a sub par aqua marina.
Colas is on the money I keep mine under the house or in the car port inflated the glue on the boards is good. Of course the quality is not going to match a stitched top brand board like the naish, starboard etc.
Also the anaconda buyer obviously does not paddle as there are some really good new boards in the aqua marina model range that are not coming out through anaconda. Two nice new dual chamber touring models and a revamp of the monster and other previous models.
