Ok I know I can be tech non savvy but I do ok, however I have downloaded Surf Tracker from the IQ store and it shows up on my list of data fields. How do I actually get it to track my waves or actually do anything, it just it's on my list and not appear on my watch???
Its been a while since I set mine up so I can't remember exactly what I did but basically you have to add the surf tracker data field to an activity.
Mine only is active when I select SUP for the activity because that is the one I added it too.
Think it is something like select settings/activities and apps/sup/sup settings/data screens/add new then select surf tracker.

Great thanks, I think I did it ok will have to test it next Surf.
Hi Guys i got venu for XMas and looking to add it as well. Is there only one app on the iq store. I would like to use it for longboarding as well. It would not have any issues would it.
Found surf tracker a bit frustrating. Try wavetrackerapp (free version available), but FYI with a Garmin it's a bit convaluted:
record your surf as an activity, export gpx from garmin website (not the app), upload to WaveTrackerApp website, view session on WaveTrackerApp via app.
I use the Dawn Patrol app on an Apple Watch and it works wonders.
Here my experience on with both: medium.com/@carlescarrera/is-the-apple-watch-good-for-surfing-6f886a31216e

Agreed Dawn Patrol is a good app if you have Apple Watch.

Is the website. The app is on andriod and Apple stores.
So it seems in my last software update Garmin have now added a wave counter and all that goes with that, some of the data is still a bit off but others have improved.
