What wind direction and tide was that creating these glassy conditions? I always get bumpy sessions there with fat waves...haven't gelled with the spot yet

Wind was WNW and just started to pick up as got there, could feel the stronger wind was up higher, effected the drone if I went to high

WA has had some classic conditions lately. This is the best time of the year for surf, lots of all day offshores with good swell and tide.

I did a solid 4 hour session in Mandurah yesterday. I had a nice lie in then hit it about 11 when all the morning frothers were worn out. The wind was less than 10knots offshore all day and the crowd was minimal.

I was lucky enough to share a wave with a dolphin also i had a mother and baby swim right underneath my board. I was happy to not have encountered any of the other wildlife known to frequent the area.

Tanjung Sari this morning at dawn. Low tide but still some head-high sets coming through. Boardshorts only, not a soul to be seen other than fishermen - paradise!

Hi spartacus. I use a very basic Garmin GPS watch, imported to Garmin connect.
Then change the graph, to speed over distance and every spike is a wave caught.
Would have been good to have the gopro as well!

Cox Bay Tofino. This morning. Beautiful day. Shoulder to head high. A few quick runs on my 8'10" Sunova Speeed. No idea who the little Boston Terrier at the start is but his owners were friendly. A few good local surfers are captured. Soloshot worked well. Mellow stoke on the water.Enjoy.

Cheers

Bob

Well done Bob. You seem very stable on the 8'10. Any corkiness in those waves ? I have an 8'8 and at least once a session I get thrown off the back in those types of waves. Need to stay quite low in my stance .
Love the Speeed and it's versatlity

Thanks Gboots!

i was really just hanging on for dear life! A bit out of my league at the moment. Although I said the waves were head high, perhaps an understatement. I was talking to a friend who was out at the same time and he thought well overhead. It didn't feal corky I was just reluctant to put it on edge at that speed. I am using small fins and no slipping at all. A few more sessions in those conditions and hope to start cranking some turns! Yes the Speeed gets the most time on the water but starting to ride my 8'7" Creek a bit more. I think you nailed it when you call the Speeed versatile.........it picks up ridiculously small waves and yet hangs in there when it gets big.....I to love this board.

Few waves and two basses on my home beach. 6'6" 29" SUP and DragonFly fishing rod. I pick up this picture now but it was taken last year in October by the Fall.
