I am sorry I don't know why the picture of my afternoon paddle in Hashirimizu, Tokyo Bay, Yokosuka, Japan is sideways. In the distance is Mount Fuji.
Good sesh here the other night. Always a wide range of breaks from rights directly straight, to big hollow lefts on the far left where it loops round the corner
A bit testy at my local yesterday

So I left Cape Cod for something more manageable.
I still took a bunch on the head.... but it was pretty awesome
Yowsers- @stc has that board Gone rogue on the wave? What were the conditions / size? Looks about 8-10ft?
Wow creek ..that will test the SUPers out ...
as the sun goes down in our little old town ...after a good little wave standing having a beer with the boys ..
just thought I'd share the moment . Of bliss...aaahhhh....what a day ..

Just big nasty beach break, crusing in 2' of water.
that guy just bailed and went under.... he wasn't going to duck dive that board
I gave up those punishing days in my old age, .... now I head for rock point breaks that are a lot easier on my aging body.
Our OH point waves that day were a cakewalk .
I was just down the coast from you today STC. I am staying a few days today in Atlantic Beach (the other end of the country, near Jacksonville, FL) and took a boat of a 10-footer out today. Had a ball - a nice break!
Out on the Bic Wing today....the sight of birds working lured me a km further out past the shipping buoys and found myself in the middle of a couple of acres of kahawai going crazy. Conditions pretty much perfect and non scary though

I wish you let me know... I have a bunch of friends in at JAX that would have had a great welcome and a Sunova for you! Excellent SUP crew with nice breaks!
When I was headed home from South Florida last Spring, I stopped in JAX and we had a blast! (Pic)

Gizzie,
Just want to say you were the inspiration for me getting a BIC Wing. Finding a board that could support my 107kg in Japan was challenging as the local shops don't really have a lot of 188cm/107kg former American footballers as customers. Of course plenty of options stateside but by the time I added the shipping costs, the hassle of getting it through customs, and the freight forwarder would only get it to the airport 2 hours away, it added up to a lot. However, there was BIC board locally and it was seeing your posts of you fishing with your dog onboard no less which persuaded me that this might be a great first board for me. If you can reel them in with a dog it probably is stable enough for me to learn on.
It has proven to be. I have been rough on her, mostly handling errors out of the water as I tried to improvise a bike trailer system to pull my board about a 1km to my paddling spot. A couple of nasty drops on the pavement when some part of my rig failed. Ace-Tec is not bulletproof but certainly more tough than regular construction. Lot of BIC haters out there but again your posts helped me overcome the bias. Just wanted to say thanks.
No big waves for us lately. Saturday we did about 3km downstream then back again on the Murray River at Morgan, South Australia. Breeze changed as we turned around so had a head wind and the current for the return home.
Sunday before that was a few kilometres out the inlet from Port Broughton, SA. Flat and clear on a warm day.
Hanging out for more Summer weather.
Had an absolute peeler yesterday! I took out my new 8'4 lokahi to that peak on the far left which is my usual sup go to.
Nearly got barelled twice. The swell height was supposed to be 2m but bigger sets were easily 2xOH. Tried my new board with some KS 2.1 quad fins and man they just stuck to the wave! Stuck a highline like nothing before.
Had a prone surfer come up to me in the carpark and ask whether I was the supper on the far left break and then gave me a bunch of compliments!
I think it's a phone thing
Definitely a phone thing. Pics sent from phone turn up sideways. Try not to mention it though....as Laurie gets annoyed
Nice little cruise today 7km round trip from Mt Martha to almost Mornington, plus I had a new fin to try out or at least get wet anyway in some very. Umps conditions by the end of the run.

Always stoked to hear someone's scoring good waves.
Good stuff Benjl
Fester - I dunno what to even say to that photo man - that's straight out of SW mag.
That left's off its noggin.
