Nice surf in great conditions at the Prom today, but yesterday I went for an adventure on Shallow Inlet. Paddled 3.5 km to the mouth, caught 6 waves, and paddled back - all on the 14' Search. I used to windsurf there and everyone warned of sharks. I wonder if there are sharks...

Scored this peak with just me and 1 mal rider. Shared the waves with him and went turn about and both got our fill of perfect runners, SWEET!!!

All the proners were in a tight pack of about 25+ up to the right, don't know why they didn't come join!

Cracking surf just up the coast from Dave. Battery went flat before the end of the session, but it was clean, off-shore, and often head-high. Still buzzing 6 hours later. Hot though... 43C outside...

Hi CSE, did you paddle in via the river or did you walk in? I used to surf there often but since I had a back operation and been surfing the sup I haven't walked in.
thanks

Hi

Very stormy past few days on west coast Vancouver Island. Video is a hike we did in Ucleulet at the far end of our peninsula. Got out surfing yesterday (see photo) at MacKenzie, the most protected beach here in Tofino. A few nice lefts but very choppy. Love the 8'10" Speeed.

cheers

Bob

I have paddled in the last half-dozen times. I had a following wind on the way in, and it was glass on the way out. So much easier than carrying the board 1 km (keeping a sharp eye for tiger snakes) - it turns a chore into a fun paddle. Only challenge is that the difference in buoyancy means I am a little reluctant to take my smaller board.

Yes Luc

Very difficult at the north end of the beach. Trouble paddling out. Went to the south end of the beach and there was a nice left break coming off the rocks that was funneled in past the little island just off the beach. Protected enough that the paddle out was easy.

Hi Scotchman
I am of the Stirling clan... 2 old volumes of Stirling genealogy passed down through the ages!

Picked out Sagres to test for resettlement.
I hope to get up by Paniche as I make my way back in late March.

Most likely returning next winter.... maybe permanently.
It's affordable here and waves.... what's not to like

No sun here but not too cold for the winter. Small surf on well groomed banks with thin to no crowds.
Still loving this board. Loose and easy carving on the chest high waves.
After a long run on either a gun or longboard it was a joy to be back on a 'short' shape.
