Do you tow that rig behind your bike? I was thinking along those lines myself, and you can fit a carton in the bottom after you have worked up a thirst. I imagine you have an esky ( chilly bin?) fish.

Hi

Out surfing the last few days from knee high to head high. Both conditions lots of fun. This morning a skiff of snow on the ground and went out to Cox Bay, Tofino. It was fairly solid shoulder high. Took the Soloshot with me and it failed to track.......darn! Had a few nice rides. I think I was just out of the frame throughout. Picture is of the beach.

Cheers

Bob

Yes Luc

I agree! For Cox fairly flat. The outside wave you see however is easily shoulder high. I was out yesterday also at Cox in similar sized waves but wind direction was opposite, today offshore and yesterday onshore. To me it seemed the offshore wind today made the waves more powerful eventhough the same height as yesterday....not sure if this makes sense. Perhaps someone with more wave knowledge can better explain this.

Cheers

I tried valiantly to tow rig behind e bike......worked mostly okay with laird surrator. But 11'4 too much board.
But effortless way to get big board long distance to beach (and all your fishing stuff as well)

I got out this morning to Cox Bay, Tofino. Beautiful clear cool morning (-2 C ). Got talking to a local surfer as we got ready to head out for a surf and I was excited with the 20 second period predicted. He said Cox doesn't work well with those big periods that it will be mostly closing out. He was right. Shoulder high and "sometimes you are the windshield......and sometimes you are the bug". In the video you can see Lenard Island lighthouse in the distance. It is perhaps 2 miles off but looks so close. Also you will see my paddle out...... a little bit of local knowledge is that there is a strong outgoing rip by these rocks....it just shoots you out in no time.

Cheers

Paddled Red Rock today - upstream with tide, but against wind - hour and half maybe --- tide change and downstream with wind and tide - forty minutes maybe. Absolutely pristine, nobody but Carol and I as we went round first bend. Tried several ways to get these right way up -- failed

Nice work Gizzie, fish for dinner.
Partner and I kept 5 snapper fished on my mates sailing cat while still on the mooring.
After seeing that I'm off for a fish.
