Perfect - able to surf this when others cannot! A great advantage in small stuff.

My first ever Christmas day SUP surf, not big waves, but nice offshore breeze to hold the faces up!

It has been cold here for the past 6 days or so. I got out yesterday in knee to waist high waves. There were six sup surfers and a few longboarders. Stayed out for two hours at -6 degrees C. There was another younger guy from up island on a Speeed. The glide on the Speeeds was a lot of fun. Walked the board down to the beach. Too icy to ride the bike. Looking forward to spring in a few months. Wishing everyone a safe new year with lots of time in the ocean.

Hi Luc. You were my inspiration to get out yesterday. Wendy and I were laughing about you warming up in the "Christmas Miracle" hot tub on the 25th. Great to see you again Luc. All the best in 2022!

We've had 15 to 20 knots onshore winds for the past week. Downright ugly conditions, and real hard yakka -
1. just getting out, and 2. keeping on the board while trying to pick off a peak.Still managed some fun big fat ones though.
The 10'8 x 32" @ 171L Revolution performed admirably - incredibly stable, fast and allowed me to link up some of the sections when they presented themselves. Not having to think too much about staying perpendicular to the horizontal is an absolute blessing. It punches through waves with no problem on the way back out, has an exceptional ability to power onto waves - even when you're thinking you're too late and have missed it, and it's nimble enough to get turns in.

The confidence the Revo gives me is a massive boost, especially when the rangers are pulling these blokes out just up the beach.
Peace out homeys - thanks for sharing all your stories and stoke across the year. Merry new year to all of ya's - ya big bunch of legends!!!

Yikes and double yikes....it would take me more than a Revolution to give me confidence, especially in turbid waters. I would sure land on the back of one of these and finish as a tasty French morcel. Maybe teh Revo should be repainted in croco skin instead of blue....or it might just piss them off....Happy New Year, already happy you finished 2021 in on epice I am sure

Starting to look at accomodations for March or April. I enjoyed Tofino with snow and windshield factor but a bit sunnier would not go amiss.
Hope you will be around and a miracle has landed the container and your new Revo.

Day 2 of my comeback from surgery after 6 weeks of no activity, caught 13 waves in 1.5hrs and felt great and had a flat water paddle yesterday. The intention is to paddle every day until Monday then I have to go back to work but I am trying to make up for lost time and a few extra pounds around the gut from Christmas pudding and cake.

Wow! That is a "log"!. We sometimes get logs in the water but nothing with teeth and tail. Yikes. Having those critters in the water must really help with balance issues.

Cheers

Bob

A couple of my favourite spots especially the Port Phillip paddle. Hope to see you out there

We've been enjoying a heap of La Nina induced swell over the past few weeks. The Revolution's been going like a weapon in every aspect. This is Jon, one of the local crew originally from WA hooking into nice left on his JP longboard.

Nah - not yet man - I actually had the Quobbas out at home last night eh, and will definitely give them a run soon. Just trying a smaller centre with slightly larger sides at the mo', which is sick. The Revo's a beast eh man. Fast and loose - and gets into waves super easy. I got a few nuggets this night - good drops and plenty of speed - I was totally gassed by the end but was so good to get amongst a bit of juice BigH!

Summer style waves with a winter wetsuit in Rockaways NYC. Beautiful day though, and not too cold! But the waves had no power at all...
