Surfing the older model 8,7 flow in small surf ,nothing fantastic ,but a bit of fun ,you might see some rocks ,they only hurt if you hit them ,
Tardy!!!
man - how good are the waves at your local.
And, Geezus H Christ - the water's that clear, cripes; I don't reckon I'd be able to hold down a full time job if I was living in that neck of the woods.
Oh yeah - and you are ripping mate. Throwing buckets around man. Yeeeow!!!
cheer mango .work gets neglected ..ha ha ..
Yeah jb 1979 ,i think i like my placid better too ,but the flow give s that little bit more thrill in small surf with the extra speed and sharp turns .
i don't think i will part with it ,
Love these clips Tardy, keep them coming!
Great scenery, fun wave and looks like you have dialed in the best board for that wave.

Its funny, I sold mine because I got too heavy for it, too much weights not enough speed work..... now I've gone full circle, increased my conditioning work vs. all out heavy lifting and I'm back where it would be comfortable to ride. But with 4 mouths to feed, clothe, entertain and educate I don't really have the luxury at present of keeping too many boards, so one out one in.
Yes the flow is/was faster than my placid, but in smaller waves I still prefer the placid I think. I find it easier to execute full turns if that makes sense? i.e. it might be slower but it carries more speed through a turn, particularly off the top..I will finish the turn where on the flow I might have got hung up or only partially executed. I also find it easier to pump mid face and gain/maintain speed. I actually prefer that it is a little slower.
Have you ridden the placid as a 2+1, Ive only ridden as a quad.
Stomp on the tail pad and let's rip. And I just love your private surf cove.
the tail is where its at for this little flow ,surfinJ, I love my cove too
JB 1979 ,I know where your coming from ,the placid is more versatile ,i got outclassed yesterday on the flow ,in bigger waves and a bit of big wave chop ,where i would of been ok on the placid ,(bigger board ) just my weight .
thruster on the placid yes i have ridden the placid with 3 ,lose a bit of stability but gain some tail looseness ,but lose a bit of drive ,I also found it a bit faster on size waves with 3 fins ,and nicer in bigger waves ,but for sure its a good allrounder and easy to ride once you get your foot in the right place ,but if its big surf ,go thruster ,it sits the arse down in the water better .but most of the time i ride the placid as a Quad .and use my 9,1 Acid in the bigger waves ...
I really need to get over to visit one day if I can ever fly again, may need to wait for a vaccine though!
Great vid!! What a paradise! Nice surfing too!
If your new board could see where it will be ridden it would be nagging them to get it finished and shipped!
Great looking wave, and beautiful water. Where is this if I may ask? Just a general location is fine if it's your secret spot
