I ordered a helmet from them a few weeks ago and haven't seen anything yet. Turns out their street address(6/136 Stirling Hwy, North Fremantle WA 6159) is about 5 minutes away from me, so I'll pay them a visit today. What's your order number, I'll ask them about that too.
I went and checked them out - its a legitimate business, very well set up and organised, and well stocked with good gear. I had a quick chat to Remy, the guy who runs it and he seems like a nice bloke and is pretty switched on.
My helmet is held up because its being shipped direct from the supplier, so I'm happy to wait a bit longer.
If you don't get any response from them soon let me know, I can always drop down and ask in person.
As an update to this, both Olskool and I have received our goods from Monkeyfist and are happy with the outcome.
Just in from a crash course using Forward WIP vest. Pushing hard at speed i got lifted twice. Resulting in big catapults. Awesome soft impact, plus some float. Makes water starting much easier.
Great price from Monkey Fist considerably cheaper than other retailers.

I ordered some gear in November in the Black Friday sales and got half the order but no wetsuit. Emailed about 5 times but no response. I'm guessing it's out of stock but I should get some form of reply.

I have made a massive Oder $1000with these gays and yes I did get most of the order... so yes they are semi legit
but the issue is if you wish to cancel your order or parts of it ... remy the owner will not respond
I wanted to cancel the life jacket because it's going to take 4-6 weeks and I needed to get one earlier
Can I bother you to drop in an see where things are at there's about $400 worth of items ( life jacket that I want to cancel and pants that didn't come with my current delivery) that is still with them
is there any chance you can drop in to add bit of pressure ??
This guy is a total thief , ordered $6000 worth of gear from him , delivered the first lot all good but when I try to change the sizes ... he sends me a return postage paid label and then simply takes back the goods without providing a refund or even a comment 3 months later not even a reply to email .. I have had it WTF . why did he behave like this ? I have a whole crew and a yacht to fit out !!! I guess I am one of the stupid trusting people that parasites like Remy take advantage of , not worth trying to help an Australian company , from now on I will be buying in store or direct from the manufactures !

We ordered a jacket, out of stock, Remy was really communicative and helpful. He supplied something else which unfortunately didn't fit and so he agreed to refund if returned. It was posted has been delivered (was tracked & insured) and since then cannot get ahold of Remy to process a refund. Tried multiple different communication methods and heard nothing. Has he gone out of business, has something happened that he has taken time off? We are looking at legal options as we just can't make contact.
Does anyone know if something happened or can recommend a way to get ahold of him?

You need to know how long your credit card will give you to dispute a charge, sounds like he is avoiding you so the dispute time frame runs out, then he keeps your money. If I return something, once the delivery confirmation comes through I contact the company, if I get no response in 24 hr I contact my credit card company and file a dispute for the charge. And guess what?, the company always responds right away, they cannot survive without using credit cards, and the credit card company will cut them off if they mess around.
Guys, try calling Peter. Looks like they have some communication quirks that need to be ironed out. Peter in retail is fantastic. My issue finally sorted within a few days once he was aware after 6 months of calling and emailing the eStore/Remy. Peter in retail: 0417 939 680
Hi all, I can confirm that Monkey Fist are still shonky. My friend placed an order a month ago, paid in full with no result. Multiple emails asking for an update and several phone messages left for Peter and the company owner, zero replies. Buy somewhere else!
Id be very hesitant with any of these 'online-only' stores that do not give out a phone number for complaints and rectifications. I got burnt by a Sydney mob called Arnolds Boat Shop , they too had great prices but then then stopped communicating (email only) later found they had been trading insolvent for months beforehand and went bankrupt taking millions from customers.
I was lucky my credit card company chased it up and got my money refunded.
Unfortunately I had the same bad experience as others have had with Monkey Fist Marine! Placed an order, no updates for 17 days, ignored all requests for contact - email, phone, text, website & chatbot. Initiated action with financial institution to cancel the credit card payment then the item gets posted express post that day!! I seriously dont know how Remy Donraadt can expect to build a business when he treats customers so badly. I certainly will never shop with Monkey Fist Marine ever again!

I'd strongly advise anyone not to use this business, or if you are having issues, go to Dep of Consumer Affairs in WA, they were great and were going after him last time I spoke with them.

never had an issue with MF marine, I always went to the shop irl tho.
