Category vintage requires new owner..
Picked this up in the early days 2004 for kiting. Mailed from Hawaii as no local equivalent. It never fitted me well. I tried a crutch strap to hold it down.. But moved on fairly quickly.. I reckon it may have been modded from a windsurfing design???
Any one reckon it would be useful.. PM me and cover postage it's yours..
Sloppy modeling but with bust collar bone was not going to tighten..

Cheers

JP 135 Foil board. I've had it a few months but I think it counts as the wife only just noticed it a week ago in my van. How could she miss the bright orange !!!!

Just picked up the supercruiser today to add to the foil collection.

A bunch of K4 fins, a Simmer Quantum V3 85L and a new Simmer carbon boom.
Still figuring out the Quantum and haven't yet had the opportunity to play with all the fins. Winter in Canada is hit or miss for wind.

Where did you get the Simmer gear?

My newest piece of gear is a Sailworks Retro 5.5.

WARNING

I have been using seabreeze for years to buy and sell windsurfing gear and never once was I nervous that an interaction with a seller was a scam. But I have been scammed!!

I tried buying a kite (I know - whats a windsurfer doing buying a kite) last week because it is kite central where I live.

This transaction seemed fine as he emailed me the photos, discussed the condition, asked me if I could come to pick it up and that's when I asked him if he could send it to BNE which he agreed. He advertised he was in SYD.

My biggest mistake was I decided to buy a kite (don't own one) on a whim as there has been bugger all wind in BNE for windsurfing. I knew that I wanted a 12m switchblade. I jumped onto SB and searched for a 12m Switchblade and low and behold this one jumped off the page at me. I did not research it enough. Just thought - bang meant to be. So I bought it. If I had of looked closer I would have seen the price was way to cheap to be true.

The only good is it is a great lesson for my kids!!

I have spoken with my bank who are chasing it and his bank who couldn't do anything for me.

Have reported to Aust Cyber Security - only $500 so not expecting much to come of that.

Will rack this up to a rookie mistake.

So please make sure you do due diligence when buying!!

I reckon you have the right to ask for photo ID containing an address before handing over your money. However, I asked a SB seller for photo ID once and she refused to provide it, I still bought the sail off her though under the assumption that SB could offer assistance with tracing/chasing someone if they took my money and didn't supply the goods. I've never been burnt so I've never tested that assumption.

I always try to get some dialogue going with the seller via email before handing over my money. Even if it's a bit of waffle it helps to verify whether you're dealing with a genuine seller.

I reckon you should start a new thread in the kiter forum and out the person.

See if they are known

Gestalt - did that and reported to Laurie.
Turns out he has done before and is suspected to be overseas.
Laurie has cancelled his profile.

A bunch of gear including some sexy black and yellow go fast sails sails and some Unifbre gear including this extension that is BENT and far too tight a fit, 3 weeks later I'm still waiting on either a refund or replacement!
must say shop gave me a piece of crap 2nd hand one to get me by in the meantime (with no downhaul rope handy !) whilst they sit on my money ...so that's been helpful, and the Manufacturer UF has put it 100% back onto the shop to sort :(
Mast seems good, the UF wave boom is really nice , UF Slalom boom also , hate to think what would happen on a wty claim on the mast or boom?!!
Oh the pic...it a 40+ extension... 32 is as far as it goes due to the bend, been used about 4-5 times max!
I don't check brand new extensions for bends before i use them, so don't know if was they way when purchased or not, all i know is its a one sail size only extension so far! and if it bent when sailing it must be crap cause its only done about 4 hours!
Normally i use Chinook 110% they seem to last for ever and have good Manufacturer support, but local shop doesn't stock quality brands like Chinook, so i took what was available ....bad move

Was in SurfFx today. Son picked up a new 3m redback the guys ordered in for him. Ian handed him a packing knife so He got the privilege of unboxing and unrolling for the first time. Happy days. Hard to leave this shop. So much to look at and talk about. Now we need wind!
