Lads, here's Nick enjoying the 3rd northeaster of the new season at Flatty, hope it hangs around for the State's.
trying to get accomodation up that way for the event but everything fully booked, campsites too. Its school holiday time.
For those happy to camp, have a look at: www.coffscoastholidayparks.com.au/parks/woolgoolga-beach
Seems to still have some powered campsites available.

Every time I try and book it just takes me back to the start page again, guessing its either because they are fully booked or their booking system is terrible.
If anyone is seeking somewhere to stay, we're happy to say you can now purchase a spot in the official team house on our website at:

And if you haven't already, don't forget to grab your membership/event entry at: nswwavesailing.org/membership/
Earlybird prices only available until this Saturday.
Fino dropped into Flat Top today, until his uni broke
Finno ripping too hard for his own gear!
Pretty gutted that at this stage we can't get down from QLD.
Currently from the 1st of October, we are allowed to go as far south as Ballina. It might free up before then but seems a bit unlikely, all the announcements seem to be for one week further on so we'll probably be allowed to go to Coffs the following week!
Police at the border regularly checking phone GPS data by all reports.
Anyway, really hope it turns on for you guys, and we can make it down for a few events later in the year. We will just have to deal with light easterlies
The only bonus is that a la nina year can crank in SE QLD from about Dec on. Lots of windy south easters with swell.
Saturday sign-on details: nswwavesailing.org/2020/09/29/surffx-woopi-classic-sign-on-details/
Remember, you must register for the event by 9pm Friday, even if you are a season member (see link for details).
I lost my coupon code to register.
Can you send me a copy or add me to the list ?
PMed this NSWWA seabreeze account.
Thankyou
Not enough wind to compete on day 1, tomorrow looks good, all the same competitors still grovelled out and enjoyed the sunshine, here is a quick (really quick) edit of what i saw this afternoon.
I use a Sony RX10 M4, on 60fps full HD. Very nice camera.
Some photos in the below folder from day 1 and day 2 of the event.

Day 2 saw conditions that allowed us to complete the competition.
