Just got an Apple Watch, wondering what apps people use to track their foil sessions. I'm trying out dawn patrol, it seems to record when I get on foil, but not sure if a surfing app works for winging. I see posts with sat maps and lines marking the sailing paths, what app is that?

For Surfing (Waves) dawn Patrol is awesome. For long runs, Dw'ing, WINGING, and sailing I use Waterspeed. really good stats and data.

Enjoy,

Ride safe,

Hi, I've used both and use a garmin 6x+ now as an everyday watch. Easy to download heaps of different apps and customise. Really impressed with how robust it is as well and the battery life is amazing.

I ended getting an Apple Watch SE during cyber Monday. Downloaded the Waterspeed app, perfect for what I was hoping for on the water. What I didn't realize was how much the Apple Watch tied into all my other devices. I can check and reply to messages. My home security system linked up to my watch without me doing anything. I love having a "calculator watch" again! Also I can answer phone calls, check my calendar, control my streaming music and podcasts all from my wrist.
