About 20 sessions in, riding HA1125 for a few sessions now stepping down from CF1600. i have a HA925 and pretty keen to get on that (i have it already for kite foiling).

how much difference coming from 1125 to 925? Any tips on stepping down?

still on a large-ish board 5'4 90L fanatic, is small foil and big board a bit squirrelly?

I say go for it if you are comfortable on the 1125. Just wait for a day where you are well powered on the 1125 and swap it out. The 925 is generally easier to ride than the 1125 due to the easier turning (narrower span). Stepping down to the 725 from the 925 is a more noticeable change (much looser).

I'll echo MidAtlanticFoil. The 1125 is more technical to ride than the 925 by a fair margin. If you're comfy on the 1125, the 925 will quickly become your favourite foil, I reckon. 925 behaves much the same way as 1125, just needs a little more forward speed to lift. No drama or special technique needed. The 925 is so good.

Thanks - You guys were bang on!

Put 925 on today, amaazzing. I'm not too sure where the 1125 will fit in my quiver now after a single session with the 925! Felt easier to pump up even when it was light.

found i needed a lot of back foot pressure when i started (a+ zero = -1 shim), halfway through session I jammed the mast to front of tracks and it was a marked improvement.

i guess i need the 195 tail next and then a 725!

Loving the 925 after a downwind run port-sorrento thurs, watermans bay session fri and flat water hillarys today.

back to back 1125 with 925, i am not seeing any benefit to the 1125 on wing- i can pump up the 925 in 13-15kt (with 6m) and it still seems better on a small wave with the speed advantage. 1125 also back foot heavy at speed (shimmed -0.5)

i can definitely see its use for proning, i could pump indefinitely to get in to shore with no wind.

is there anywhere the 1125 fits in your wing quivers?
